Janet has over 20 years of practical international professional and marketing experience in the screening and information services, customer service experience, technology, government, beverage and healthcare industries.  Prior to founding and re-igniting Global Trade Advisory, Janet served as Assistant Vice President overseeing ChoicePoint / LexisNexis's Global Screening Partner, Operations and Client Management business.  She took this rudimentary business and developed it into a top five strategy for the firm.

Prior to her leadership role at Choicepoint / LexisNexis Janet served as; Director of International Operations at Shop'n Chek, the largest Customer Service Experience and Mystery Shopping company in the world, Global Mergers and Acquisition and Product Manager at Lucent Technologies, International Project Officer at USAID and Education Channel Analyst in Santiago, Chile at Coca-Cola.  Her accomplishments included, a $1BUSD technology acquisition in Asia, developed and launched 15 new product roll outs that generated 20% growth, tripled annual franchise revenues within one year, managed McDonald's Global Customer Service Program, and generated $22M in U.S. trade and investments in Morocco and Jordan. 

Ms. Ackerman holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Thunderbird, The School of Global  Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from Bowling Green State University.  Janet is a member of the Thunderbird global board and chairs the International Educational committee for the National Association of Background Screening Association.  She has lived and worked in Latin America , Europe and the Middle East and has traveled extensively to Asia. She is a sports enthusiast, likes to dance and travel and resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband.
